he said on TGP they are identical circuitwise, the pale is a perfect replica. The color is just because that's what the first nitro BJFe one looked like. Retro look so to speak.

I never used a comp before, but always enjoyed those kind of big chimey ringing clean comp sounds in relation to the Beatles, Byrds, The Smiths, Teenage Fanclub, and etc. I always figured that most of that was studio magic and/or the work of Ric's into AC30's ...but figured there is a magic piece in there somewhere like what the Echoplex preamp did for Jimmy Page and the Space Echo preamp did for Brian Setzer, or what the Rangemaster/treble boost did for Tomy Iommi and Brian May...so on and so forth!

Problem is no matter how much I try and understand compressors, they seem to miss the mark with me.

I have never used a comp before either however I just sold a brand new Skreddy P19 fuzz to fund this purchase!!!

PGC likely your best bet for this sort of thing in a pedal. I think it's unique in its subtly and "natural" sound/response. Pretty much can't stand using any other comp pedals.

Yea... after about 15 months on the list I finally got my BJFe PGC... it arrived a couple days ago... I figured BJ cleared out his entire backlog before they announced the Bearfoot version but I guess not...
