They are functionally the same. The vT I owned had more of a bottom end then the 4K i now own.

I think I mentioned this, but I was too lazy to set everything up again after playing with some guys at a local studio two weeks ago and have just been playing with the MH and a delay (at home). Am I drunk with new pedal love or the MH v1 just a killer pedal? It really just nails the low down and dirty swamp rock kind of sound.

Two weeks later and all my other pedal stuff is still in my gig bag...

Have you guys ever tried out your MH with different amps and guitars?
I've felt that my MHvT is quite picky which guitar it pairs up with.
When I use it with my Nash, it doesn't sound that great. It's a tad on the milder side than it should be, but when used with my Washburn N6, it's just plain awesome!

Funny you would post this. I just changed amps and the mh v1 still sounded great, but it was very different from how it sounded with my previous amp. Since the sound I was looking for was what I was getting with it and the previous amp, I ended up passing it on to another member, no loss of love, just different.
