Haven't played a Skinpimp; I've seen some gutshots posted online - they look beautiful. My MKI was built by Tim Cooper ("Fuzzfaceless"). "Not of this earth" is a good description. I've never played anything else quite like it.

The MKI has an unusual attack/decay envelope, which may account for its not being so compatible with (some) other fx. The MKII is quite different in this respect.

I'll be interested to learn the result of your further experiments.

I went by my local bearfootpusher today with my board and guitar. Of course all the vibes were sold out . They told me that they waited for another batch and would send me email when it arrives so now the waiting begins. He like many of the threads I´ve come a cross told me that the mini vibe could get very subtle wich amped my interest a notch.

I googled your fuzzfaceless but could´t really find anything other than the guy who's houses his pedals. They sure look pretty!

I did try the fulltone MDV-2, that´s the one that look like a wha. I do like to control the speed with my foot as I done with the rotovibe. Similar to the rotovibe the fulltone did not sound very good through the MK1. Throbby mush all over..

I really got high hopes on the minivibe, i want it to work dammit.

Question: is the vibecircuit detachable? If it do live u to my high hopes i would wanna house it in a wha-enclosure.

I love Vibes and fuzzes and, in general, I haven't liked dirt going into a Vibe (light bulb type) except possibly a very light OD like the HBOD. What is tricky is the old Uni-Vibes had a buffer in it which made it react and sound rather differently than the true bypass modern examples. I think this is why all but one (photovoltaic) Vibe tended to thin the sound out slightly. Foxrox AquaVibe has addressed this and it is super fat!

Ge Tonebenders are really picky beasts! I really haven't had the best luck with Ge fuzzes and Vibes at all, however, a Si fuzz face or certain Muffs sound amazing after a Vibe. Total Jimi BOG! I would like to see what would happen if you made a Tonebender MKIII Si and how well it would work with other pedals.

I am excited to try the new Bearfoot MGMV and I am also interested in the Vibe Machine which is an interesting photovoltaic model from Croatia though I would worry about getting parts in the future.

I do love the Fulltone Vibe that looks like a Wah for its functionality, but it does take up the space of two pedals, but that is better than having a Vibe and an expression pedal!

Yes, as others have commented, the MGMV is fantastic as a subtle tone enhancer on low intensity settings. I leave it on throughout many tunes where I do not want a noticeable vibe effect but love the way it sort of fattens things up.

Fuzzfaceless: Burgerman666 has some excellent demo vids on youtube of the Fuzzfaceless MKI. Tim's custom-engraved (chemically-etched, actually) pedal enclosures are really beautiful - I'd keep mine as an art object, even if the fuzz sucked. I think he's gotten enough work, word of mouth thru forums, that he never bothered to put up a proper website. You can contact him thru his facebook page (or I can give you his email if you're interested). Tim's a really good guy. He has some production models in the works, so I expect an actual website will appear before long.

Just ordered one of the bearfoot ones. Loved my old sbmv and wish I had kept it - looks like the bearfoot one is a cool option. Don't know if this has been asked but any chance bearfoot could offer a 2 stomp?
