it looks like it was fairly active for awhile then died. It looks like months in between posts at this point. All the big players just busy?

yeah that was an experiment that yielded some fun results - but would need some new projects and takers to rev it up again...

I was reading through a lot of the threads and was getting pretty excited until I saw the dates of the posts. I know I'd be in on anything that went down in that area!

I would definitely be down, as I wasn't involved on the forum when the previous projects were going on. My top three picks would be the following:
1. Folk Delay
2. Folk Reverb (similar to delay)
3. Folk Drive (light overdrive since there is already a Fuzz)
Let's rally, and see if we can get this going. Anyone else interested?

I'm in for a folk fuzz or drive.
delay i would think would be rather more difficult = less likely to happen.
wouldn't the model G fit for a "folk" pedal....?
it's got the era.

I'm totally cool with that idea. Or a Bearfoot MG. Or really ANY Model G. that doesn't cost a zillion dollars...
Let's have a "Stimulate the crappy economy! Model G re-release!" project, or something.

From what I recall it is the parts that are the expensive part of the Model G. I seem to remember reading the build cost was on par with the HBOD Deluxe. How about an experimental Sparkling Yellow v1.5?

I know after reading through the SYOD threads it seemed everyone thought a blend of v1 and v2 would be just about perfect. The original Folk project was not to build an already existing pedal from the line but something new and fun. A hybrid SYOD would probably also gain participation from those who already have one or both versions of the original research project.
Donner asked about participation in a light overdrive research project a few months back that seemed to get put on hold due to all the other incredible things that have taken priority over the past few months. Maybe this would be a way to incorporate the two projects together while giving a wider group of researchers an opportunity to participate.
Obviously we would need buy-in from BJ, Donner, and possibly some other helpers as well. Didn't Fromel help with the last project?
