Thanks for posting that clip Alan! That was really useful how you went through so many different settings on the drive and tone knobs. Some of the tones you were getting in that clip actually reminded me a lot of the Mad Professor Mighty Red. For you guys who have the pedal and have heard the MRD, is that what you are finding too?

Yeah I think that plays up a few things --- the MRD is an intentionally compressed pedal and while the DRHD has sustain it doesnt sound compressed --- BUT the phone recorders have compression added so in the end this can sound like an MRD on a recording, but not in a room ...

Ok now that you guys have had them for awhile..... would you still prefer to have a dirt knob that was more focused on the upper half of the dirt range in exchange for the lower half of the dirt ( no really lite dirt, but more range for dialing in the high dirt ) ..... ?

I certainly would. I would not use the drhd as low gain and would like more adjust-ability on the gain if the feel could be retained.

Well its certainly possible and is a matter of choosing a different value drive pot --- Im going thru a couple options and its a matter of choosing one for the 'production' model if thats what most people want as I tend to agree. Its cool to have that extra range down there , but Im not sure anyone would actually look to a pedal named RedHot for 'lite dirt' ~ maybe best to leave that for the other offerings and concetrate on the flames

Agreed. The red hot is not for weenies.
The sunny bee is purrfect for low gain pleasure.

Hot damn! It works just fine and I think this is as it should be and the way they will roll from now on .....
IF you want your DRHD to only have the noon and above dirt available spread over the whole dirt dial - let me know
