ah that explains it ~ one of the solder genies had their iron cranked up too high - good for melting solder faster but only if the part is made to take it... so its not bad stomps as much as exceeding tolerances ...and thats why its only some of them and why in this case cleaning them doesnt help ~~~~ :phew :nono  :greensad

"phew" ... "no, no" ... "embarrassed" ... "green sad"

Lots of emotion in Bearfoot land.

Could be worse ... poor design.

Kidding.

Well, at least with that being the case, it's a better education than before...in light of this, it is therefore my full recommendation to suspend that solder genie without pay...that and a weekend of community service.

That will teach him to think before cranking up that iron....the nerve of some genies

Ok
AB
AG
ST
and MH
I recieved your peds ....

good news is they all have the same ailment and I know how to fix it ...

(Its not the stomp but the chip that has become misbiased from too much heat, the bias drift causes it to sound sort of like an Octave fuzz drive, which is actually kind of cool in some ways - BUT thats not what the Beest is suppose to sound like so Ill chip swap them and send them back  ..... and if any of the other Beests are getting Octave fuzz sounds please send them in for healing)

Update.... this is getting interesting .... but this research may take a few days, and it may not end there ..... if necessary we will just put whole new boards in if thats what it takes......

BUT, if at anytime any of you want out for a full refund just say so, this isnt meant to be painful

Donner, for what it's worth, do what you need to do with as much time as you need to do it. I'm just happy to be along for the ride.
