Best Score on a BJFE pedal

Postby hawaii121 » Fri Sep 02, 2011 12:10 pm

Since we have all been in awe of some of the crazier high end prices we have been seeing, I thought it would be interesting to hear any major scores people have had over the years.

My first BJFE - a LGW off ebay for $240. It arrived with some footswitch problems that Bjorn helped me sort out. The seller felt bad and refunded $20 to me. BJFE LGW - $220 - wish I could do that again!

hmmm price wise I remember getting a BBOD for $120 about 2002-3 ... I think new were about $220 then ....

Best BJF trade I ever made was probably swapping my custom Landgraff LDO for BBOD #001 and an early PPF , which at the time was a fair trade too :glasses

I can't say I ever got a crazy deal on one, but I did pay between $340 and $360 for all my current BJFEs except for my MHvT which was a great deal at $475.

Recently, I procured a SBMV for $475 which I thought was a rather good deal

That's what I paid for mine also. It seems $500 is the going price these days. I remember when the single speed version would go for $600. Personally, I would prefer to get my old early MINT Green #005 back. I never use the 2nd speed.

Sooooo this is even hard for me to believe, but I picked up a BBOD about 3 years ago for $175 from a friend. Thing was, I was just looking for a good distortion pedal and he recommend it cuz he wasn’t playing pedals anymore. I almost sold it, but then I noticed it sounded better than my amps mid-gain distortion channel. Kept it on my board and it’s never left, even when one on EBAY sold for over $700!!! Furthermore, Bjorn says it’s the 1st version #2 so it’s even more special now. Pretty good score, I think.

Very cool, the BBOD is really one of my all time favorite OD pedals of any sort. With something like 500 of them out there, I think it says a lot that you don't see too many come up for sale.

Lol!!! I remember the days where BJFe pedals could be had for 300$ or so dollars ! When I got in the game it was only a few months before they exploded! My best scores ? Regular price i'm afraid.
