I am finally checking out the trimmer on the MHvT and it seems to be affecting the upper mids and not treble as I go clockwise. It also seems to have more gain and a hint of hairy fuzz. Is this normal? What is the trimmer supposed to do?

Thanks!

The secret to good tone may very well begin with a good trimmer. I wish I would have known that years ago!

Cheers, gents.

sorry for the derail ~~ what the trimmer effects will sound a bit different depending on the drive and tone controls settings

Now that you have had time to tinker with the MHt, what are you hearing when adjusting the trimmer? What setting(s) have you gravitated towards?

I have been playing my MH with volume around 9:30, tone around 2:00 and drive between 10:00 and 11:00. As for the trimmer, I run it around 75% of clockwise. At these settings, I find a well saturated, lush drive that stacks incredibly with low to mid gain drives (for additional mayhem).

Cheers!
