Pedal Order help

Well I tried to hold out a little bit before asking this and experimenting some but I am just overwhelmed.
I got a lot of BJFEs in a very short amount of time so I haven't had the luxury of time to learn how they best work together.

I know everyone will have different opinions as it is very subjective, but I was hoping to get some advice on a few "no brainers" that you all may have come across. With 6 pedals to set up, I am struggling with getting it optimal.

So if you have any thoughts like..."Pedal X excels as the last in that group", or "Pedal Y really likes being 1st", or even "I always keep mt Pedal A before Pedal B"...If I can get a few positions locked in place it will make cementing a final order easier.

ex: I hear a LOT of people saying the HBOD loves being last.

If I had tons of time I would just keep experimenting but my board is only about 2-3 weeks from getting re-wires so I need to settle on it by then. They will all be in a looper.

Pedals to chain up are:

EGDM
BBOD
Model R
Model H
DRD
HBOD

Thanks for any suggestions! If you have any feedback on how you mix other non BJFEs into your setup that would help too. I have a TS808HW, Timmy, Ethos, and a KOT that I am keeping.

(PS....someone please sell em an SBEQ :)

Stacks I've enjoyed with your pedals are...

DRD > HBOD
EGDM > HBOD
MH > HBOD

These all require HBOD last... however another really cool and really dynamic stack is...

HBOD > DRD (with gain around 10-11 oclock)

With that stack you can get a really dynamic distortion with great volume knob and pick attack sensitivity

I've had the MR but never really bonded with it but imagine it'd sound nice into the HBOD too.

BBOD is one I've never tried.

So if it was me I'd have the following...

EGDM > MH > HBOD > DRD

The others I'm not too sure about.

Hope this helps!

I dont know what other pedals are in you r chain, but is usually good to have at least one buffered pedal in there so you might want the TS on there if you have no other buffered pedals .....

I will have a Cornish LD-1 Buffer at the beginning of the chain.
All of my pedals on this board will be in a looper as well.

I was trying to look at it in 2 phases as it seems over the top to try to get 10 ODs in the right order at once.

I wanted to get an optimal BJFE order set. After that makes sense I would work in the other 4 ODs at the end.

There's other pedals on there as well (18 total) but their placement is set (Fuzzes, Wah, Volume, EQ, Boost, etc).

My last new pedal for this board is in the mail now so Ionly have about a week to figure this out.

Happy to get any feed back on what works for you all.

Just from reading signatures it looks like:

EGDM > Model H > HBOD is a good order in this trio.
Now I just need to see how the Model R, DRD, and BBOD fit into that mix.

I really don't think the Model R works well with that setup. That said, I will be the hero of the day and take it off your hands. I'm sure something like a Boss DS-1 would be a much better fit for you.

All joking aside, it sounds like a killer rig!

I echo this, plus a little experimentation as follows...

The DRD and the Model R have some similarities. Figure out which one you prefer before AND after the HBOD.

My experience is that the BBOD likes to be first in the chain, so suggested order would be...

BBOD > EGDM > MH > DRD/Model R > HBOD > DRD/Model R

...EGDM is The beautiful jade that a cake of isn't appreciated by the many people
...HBOD is the Flagship of BJFE
...Model R, If cause any reasons i have to take a HI-GAIN pedal, I pick this up :?

Well thank you all for your help in enabling me to make some quicker decisions on things.
So I figured I at least owe you what the results were!

Here is the Pedal order I ended up with:

Pre OD:
Cornish LD-1
Fulltone '69 MKII
Skreddy Lunar Mudule Deluxe
Wattson Classic Fuzz
KR Megavibe
Fullone Clyde Deluxe

OD:
SBEQ
BBOD
KoT
EGDM
TS808HW
Model H
Model R
Ethos
DRD
HBOD
Timmy
BPB

Post OD:
Hilton Volume
Gig Rig

Lehle Dual:
Eventide Pitchfactor
Eventide Modfactor
Eventide Timefator
Eventide Spacefactor

Not EVERY single pedal sounded better with a cetain one before or after, but some combos were SO tasty that I didn't care (TS808HW > Model H for example).
I kept finding that I really liked 1 pedal before another, but after a different one...so at some point you have to just say enough is enough and just go with the combos that blow your mind the most and sacrifice the others.

Thanks again for the input. I'll be sure to post some pics when they come back from the shop.

For a buffered pedal, such as the TS, to be effective as a buffer, doesn't it have to be on? I just redid my pedalboard and now have 12 pedals (8 are BJF) on it and it mostly killed the sound of my guitar. I'm thinking that I need a buffer to get the high end back. I have an OCD that I believe is buffered so was wondering if I would have to leave something like that on to get it's effect.

Thanks,
Jim

p.s. I thought I should that the "Killed the sound of my guitar" occurs without any pedals being on. The high end was gone when I plugged my guitar through all 12 pedals and into the amp before I even turned a pedal on.
