Coolness. Yes, I use the SYOD>DRD stack for the real rock leads as well. My "SYOD" is actually the Dynamic Amber Overdrive (DAOD), which is the prototype for what became your SYOD (and Teahead's Little Purple Overdrive)...all the same circuit, just different color boxes.

My favorite rock lead stack is DAOD (V 10:00, T 11:00, D 2:00) > DRD (V 12:00, T 1:00, D 1:00). That is absolutely monstrous sounding. I use DAOD by itself on almost all the time, as it covers so many bases. The DRD will get used by itself for harder rock rhythms or for rockish leads where I still don't want it to be totally over-the-top. I use the stack for when it's time to go all-out and re-decorate whatever club I'm gigging at, LOL.

My actual settings are(oclock):
SYOD V-2 T-11 D-12
DRD V-1 T-12 D-11
these settings stay the same, by themselves and for stacking the two.

Love the DocRockDist. Was that a repaint?

Cool, let me know what you think of my settings. Another DRD setting I really dig is V 12:00, T 1:00, D 11:00 ... almost the same as yours. I like to turn the distortion down to about 11:00 because it gives similar distortion texture to 1:00, but not quite as much compression...so it can also be used for heavier rhythms than the DAOD. I also use my settings both individually and stacked. They rarely change, as they are perfect for what I'm doing. I also like to kick in my RRB (9:00) at the end of the chain for solo boosts...seems to be the perfect amount of additional volume to punch right through the mix.

Actually, that DRD is not a repaint ... Bjorn thought it was a fun idea, and was kind enough to do that for me the first time around.

The best way to get the custom D*A*M stuff is to frequent the forum at http://www.stompboxes.co.uk. Dave did 15 of the '65 pedals. He opened up a list in January and it took him quite awhile to finish them. Regarding the '66, Dave put the Mullard OC76 in without me even asking. I didn't think it was going to be custom, but he took the liberty, which was really cool. I noticed that he mislabeled it as "2008," too. Funny because it says "August 2007" at the bottom. I guess I've established a good rapport with him. I've also got this guitar-voiced Ezekiel, which is one of two made:



Dave's next custom project is a Fuzzrite replica that he's calling the "Fuzzrong." Should be really sweet:

Hey Warmth,,thought you and some others might enjoy these customs too.
I was lucky enough to snag these up second hand from TastyRiffs.
A custom small box MKII OC81.
And a custom big box 3 tonbenders in one. You can select from OC75, OC76, OC81, with a flip of the side switch. Makes for an easy way to hear the difference between the three different mullards.
