it sure sounded and felt about 95% the same as the CH II to my ears....which made me VERY happy, because it seems impossible to find a CH II.

Jukka says they are almost READY!!!! :love4

After a little time with the SGD, I definitely like it. It's very heavy sounding, but not really rude, just big.
It seems to track quicker playing very well, very tight and defined, not sloppy or unruly.
Despite using words like 'tight, and defined,' I also have to mention that the tone is not very compressed or congested, rather very natural.
Finally, the range of gain is very nice, I really like it around noon, as it really responds to pick attack and the volume knob (surprised me). And, as usual, very little noise for how much gain is on tap.

Useful.
I like when a tone control does 'too dark' to 'too bright,' and I'm living between 11 and 1 on the SGD, I think it'll work for most folks.

Mine has arrived and I have been beasted by it for the last hour. This is the most full-on BJF/MP distortion I have tried (I have not tried a cliffhanger) and I love it. It is exactly as described previously with my setup. I would agree with the word 'brittle' to describe it. Really bright, clear and cutting and very full and open. Amazingly articulate for such a full on pedal. Also stacks really well into a Honeybee - but then what doesn't! Tone control is very effective going from very bright to dark and there is plenty of volume and gobs of distortion there. I like it with everything at noon myself, perhaps one 0'clock with the tone. It's a winner. Reminds my a little of the SYOD is some ways because of the brightness but in most other respects it is quite different.

Only problem is my Avenged Sevenfold obsessed teenage son digs it too!

yeah - I remember a mix CD my niece made for my sons that we listen to and thinking most of the tones (Skillet,Shinedown etc) where all in the CliffHanger - this is modern Rock from Slash forward 8) and BJF tone from Model H and R on up :laughing4
