Bottoms Up forr Small Bear

Postby Donner » Fri Mar 25, 2011 6:55 am

http://www.smallbearelec.com is now stocking individual bottom plates for the most widely used pedal boxes..... so you can retain the velcro and just switch out the pedal body (AND retain the paint on the bottom for later)

>>> These are the BJf/BearFoot etc size .....

Thanks Donner! I was about to buy several boxes just for the bottoms and it seems a waste and expensive to boot! I know I have at least three pedals with feet I would like to have the option of feet or velcro since they all cant fit on the board.

Will the 125-B fit BJFE, BearFoot and Mad Professor?

Just picked up a few of each so no matter what comes along hopefully I'll have a bottom to match it.

Thanks Donner! :notworthy

The little pedals are 1290 or 1590B (those 2 the same size). 125B is slightly longer on the bottom plate and the 125B box is slightly taller. I think Lovepedal uses the 125B for the Eternity. The older Mad Professor stuff is using a heavier box (zinc?) that is about the 1290 size, but I'm not sure the bottom plates are interchangeable.

From measurements the Taiwanese B box is about the right size.

Yes Scott you are correct. This is the one I use for my BJFE pedals. Although at the time the backplates were not sold separately so I had to buy the whole enclosure. The Taiwanese BB will fit the SBMV and HB DLX pedals.

Do NOT buy the Small Bear 125-B, I made this mistake.

Thanks a lot for the clarification!

I just ordered a bunch of those bottoms & will be really glad to have them. It's much cheaper & smarter than buying the entire boxes... which I already have 3 of & they'll likely just go to waste except for the bottoms.

Yes I added the link above......

http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=1066

These are the same size as the heavier BJF/Elfa boxed ones also - tho Im not sure if the screws line up exactly

the 125B is what I used on the Fraternities and thats also a very popular size among builders.......
