i have kept looking, to keep on track with price history etc....... and its gone from maybe around 4 pedals to what?? like 15 pedals for sale now??

is every one cashing up? either due to restraints at home, bearfoot 'factor', or testing the waters after the big prices coming through?

There has been a lot of gear moving in the past few weeks. NOt sure why. The prices for the PGC went through the roof and then the CHII and the MG showed up before that. So a lot of nice gear got people talking me thinks :)

I suspect it is the big money things are going for. I have heard a rumor that Bjorn's work is hot in Asia and exporters are buying them up to profit in markets we cant reach. It is hard to believe a private person can have 50,000 eBay purchases, but that is who keeps winning these auctions.

Yeah probably all of the above....
I know the stats I get on the site say the most hits come from the US, but Japan hits more than all of europe combined, so while we have very few asian members, we have alot of asian readers ( and apparantly buyers too ) ..... I know alot of my art pedals have gone into the asian closet never to be seen in these parts again .....

and theres some stirring from BearFoot as some people wrongly think BJFe prices will go down --- I think they will be sorry this time next year...

and High bidding and bad economy is always a volitile situation.....

But Im still holding all of mine.... tho I seriously considered liquidating for start up for BearFoot, but for now Im hjolding out as long as I can

I'm going to be keeping all my BJFe, then buying any Bearfoot that I want and don't already have in a BJFe version. However, when the Bearfoot PGC and SBEQ come out, I'll have a couple duplicates. Lol.

Perhaps the BJFE stuff is hitting it's tipping point. Over the last year, I think some of us have gotten comfortable with the idea of being able to let BJFE stuff come and go, but I'm starting to wonder if it we might be reaching a point where you take a big risk selling one of your BJFE (assuming you think you might want the same pedal in the future). At one point I had about 8 to 10 really nice BJFE, I thinned things out to try some Cornish stuff which I love, but also see as very different from BJFE. There's a feel to BJFE that I just don't find in any other effects. $ keeps me from owning a full flush from both makers, but I do have my favorites from BJFE - Model G, SBMV, and PGC. I actually have contemplated getting another DRD - that's a really solid heavy OD/Distortion pedal - kind of miss having one. I also told Donner I thought of putting my Model G on eBay at a ridiculous price to see if the "50,000 bid man" would bite... but then I think - "what if someone actually bought it?" I'd never be able to get another one!

I know what you mean. I have always been reluctant to sell any BJFE pedal as I think they will only become more expensive as Bjorn gets involved in other areas and more R&D work. I don't think there is a BJFE I have that couldn't be sold for a profit, but buying them back will either be expensive or impossible.

I have purchased and tried several other pedals since trying BJFE, but they were all sent back because they just don't measure up. I have even tried several of my friends Cornish pedals which are fantastic at higher volumes, but they don't have the feel or vibe of Bjorn's designs and builds. Everyone thought the availability of BearFoot would kill the resale of the HBOD and now DRD, but I don't see that happening. That isn't a cut Bearfoot, but I think the market sees them as two different animals just like any BJFE that has a Mad Professor equivalent still goes for big money.

I also think there might have been pent up demand due to the economy. My friend who owns Wildwood music store in Louisville, CO says he is selling fewer, but more expensive guitars than during the boom 4 years ago. People are buying a few nice things and not a lot of mid priced things.

well.....if you have pedals from BJFe that you LOVE, i would say to hold on to them! even though prices are going crazy on ebay, who knows if you will be able to replace it in the future? especially the rare custom shop stuff.

a LOT of very cool collectible pedals have been making their way to Japan -- the Analogman minichorus i had that was Donnerboxed with a sweet blue/green/yellow sparkle swirl finish was bought by a japanese collector, and i miss it...
