MP LGW with LF353 and 18v!

yup, had to try it, not sure im a fan......... sounded a bit loose and flabby? will have to try it more.

next stop, will put the original chip back in and set to 12volts, might work better for my tastes.

does it matter what brand OP amp/chip, or are they all pretty much the same? ie, did i just get a rubbish lf353?

what were you trying to change with the different chip and voltage ?

For a bit more clean headroom....

I got to play it at church with my amp cranked, and it seemed to give me what I wanted. Although, I will have to play more to check it out....... Was having too much fun with the model H!

yea....... na........ it was all wooly and very different, so i put it back to stock, and WOOP...... there it is!! ill keep it that way, with the initial 252 chip, but will try 12v next, and decide which is better...... for me anyway! ha

right each time you change something everything changes too :mrgreen:

its hard to just add headroom etc.....
but keep trying and you will eventually sneak up on what you really want .....

Thanks donner.

It's not like I don't like the stock sound, I love it. But good to try it out and see what else is there that I could use. Specially as I have two, so I could set each up differently.
