I have wondered the same thing.

I'd love to try one, but the entry fee to try one is scary. Especially if you like it!

Hmmmm! Never heard of the same BJFE pedal in a different colored box with a different name. ????

AWF/SWF aside ... although not a different color.

Any knowledgable experts on this one here? :music

Well here's the info pasted from the library...

Mighty Green MiniVibe (MGMV) - A vibrato, like an organ, not like a temolo of phaser (released 22nd January 2002, 75+ made to date). The early models were called the Mint Green MiniVibe had a flat green color and were covered in Nitrocellulose lacquer. The color was changed to a brighter oil-based color in 2004. The MGMV contains a trimmer for setting the effect level volume versus the bypass volume; the factory setting is about unity gain. Some other individual pedal

Mighty Green MiniVibe Deluxe (MGMV DLX) - 2-Stomp version of the MGMV (22 made to date). The very first MGMV DLX was made for the person who makes the BJFE T-shirts and sells them on eBay. The first review of the pedal was written by the demo guy for Dr Z amps. There is also one MGMV DLX in existence that was actually converted from a standard MGMV. There are three trimmers (a) the trimmer on the PCB sets the gain and is used to set unity gain so that there is no level difference when toggling the effect on and off (b) the trimmer on the footswitch closest to the battery sets the velocity in the small cupsize mode and then overrides the top-mounted Velocity control (c) the trimmer farthest from battery and also mounted on the footswitch sets the Amplitude when in small cupsize mode but it is dependent on the topmounted Amplitude control.

Sea Blue MiniVibe Deluxe - Standard MGMV DLX but with interesting blue brush paint job. Note, do not confuse this pedal with the special Sea Blue MiniVibe Deluxe pedal that has 2 Velocity and 2 Amplitude knobs - see below. (1 made)

Pale Green Compressor -- Pine Green Compressor -- Emerald Green Compressor Machine -- Dynamic Orange Compressor -- Golden Pine Compressor -- Sea Blue Compressor

Dyna Red Distortion -- Doc Rock's Distortion -- Dyna Black Distortion -- Dynamic Orange Distortion

Thanks for the info. I knew about the one-offs, but not that there were large batches with a different name. The info lists one SBMV being an MGMV, but wasn't there a whole batch of SBMVs, and are those just MGMVs with a different paint and name?

The recent batch of SBMV's are just MGMV Deluxes with a blue donner box.

I have owned them both, almost passed on getting one of the SBMV because I already had the MGMV. I have seen the MGMV go for $500 range lately and that's really good. The SBMV run $799 new.

When the last batch of SBMV were built I jumped in at the last second and I am very glad I did. The cup size thing makes the unit soooooo much more versatile to me. I really like being able to quickly move from a thick lush slow vibe to a thinner faster setting with the click of a foot. You should be warned - if you are prone to seizures you might want to stay away from faster vibe settings - the flashing light on the SBMV is dangerous!

Is the MGMV a bad pedal - not in the SLIGHTEST - I could have easily stayed happy with the one stomp, however, now that I have drank from the 2 cup size :laughing7 I would not be able to return...
