I asked about something like that a year ago and Donner said it couldn't be done because the HB in the DLX is like 1.5 pedals and the baby pink side is small. Still I would like to try it! So far Bearfoot is hitting everything I already have, except for the Vibe, so I haven't bought one yet. Who knows? My two OD slots are now a MP SHOD and a HBOD! (I still switch the EGDM and MHvT in those slots as they fill a similar sound/feel).

Id still like to try a Model G, Model R and which of the Yellow ODs that is tighter.

I remember discussing that possibility and that it was too big but that was when the boards were all hand done -- now that Donner's able to lay them out and have them machine built I'm sure they can get a little more efficient with the architecture.

I would love to have another MG some day. Maybe bearfoot will make my dreams come true :love4 we'll see...

Oh and for "tight" I guess that depends on the definition -- I'd say v1 is "tighter" but neither is very loose or saggy as I recall ;)

v1 is bright and aggressive with a lot of bite to it
v2 is smooth and bluesy with a more mellow EQ

Either one would be a fantastic addition to the line. I would actually bet (or hope) we end up with a v1.5 that is EQ'd between the two if anything.

Man, the honey beest and the tweaked DRD both sound like they're going to be really awesome.

Right, just all the research for getting BearFoot rolling has turned up some interesting possibilities - like the smallbox MINI vibe was not anywhere close to possible before , same with the HBeest - and there are some more interesting things ahead that will please many ... 8)

Hmm, PGC DLX small box?

The funny thing is I used to run my HBOD with the Drive maxed out, but lately I run it around 11 to 1 o'clock! I also found out that the MP SHOD sounds more amp-like at 12 Volts. :music I wish I could get the blank bottom plate on it to save the paint, but the bottom plate has that lip and it is just a bit too wide for a few of my pedals. They seem to fit best on the new MP cb pedals and certain BJFEs.

I listened to BSIC's SYOD V1 vs V2 video demo and a V1.5 would kill! It would seem like a refined SHOD. I was quite surprised at how different the cb sounded verses the handwired! The top end and mids are about the same, but the cb has almost no bottom end where the Finnish model has a nice solid bottom. mmmmm firm-bottomed Finnish model! :love4

Isn't the Forest Green Compressor basically a small box version of the PGC Deluxe?

I think this has been asked before and if I remember correctly they are actually different compressor circuits. However I think the new CB FGC was eq'd / voiced closer to the PGC but still a different circuit.

Ah, got it. I must have missed that on the forum. Thank you for clarifying. Does anyone happen to know how many PGC Deluxe pedals were built?

Not enough? :laughing7

I have had the PGC and the latest FGC and they are very different. On certain notes and frequencies the FGC could distort in an unpleasant way, but it was the first comp I really liked. The PGC is smoother and more musical sounding. I am now using the Effectrode Compressor and would like to compare it to a PGC or PGC DLX. The Effectrode is simply amazing at how fat you can make it sound without changing your base tone. Super musical sounding and due to the top jacks is surprisingly small. The only downside is a PP2+ won't power it (or the Strymon Timeline), so I will eventually get a Cioks http://cioks.com/index.php?option=com_c ... &Itemid=56 I would need a couple of Y cables, but I could run my board with no wall warts.

These Honey Beest's have me thinking....

I seem to recall hearing before that the HB DLX's are gainier and a little tighter than the regular HB's. And........
I also have heard a lot that the Model G is a little similar to a HB, but also tighter and gainier....SO........

First of all, those who have played both, would you agree with the above sentiments, or am I off-base? Second, if both are somewhat true, is the Honey Beest going to be somewhere in the ballpark of the Model G sound? Because if so, then :love10
