BJFE Addiction

Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum and fairly new to BJFE. I received my first BJFE pedal (a Honey Bee) about a month ago and it totally blew me away. The pedal is AMAZING. So amazing that I'm currently selling a bunch of gear to fuel my funds for more BJFE. I just got on the list for a Model H, Model R, EGDM, and DRD.

Now I understand the addiction behind BJFE pedals, as I'm now addicted.

How many more BJFE pedal addicts are out there? Hopefully I'm not the only one. :D

Hi iurod,

Wecome to the board. I bought a HB about a year ago and currently have 12 BJFE and Mad Professor pedals with 2 more on the way. Its an expensive habbit, but very rewarding. I have been chasing tone for some time and there is nothing like BJFE pedals. They are truly top notch and to coin the phase "amp in a box". :pedallove

Take a look in the BJFE Library section and that will give you a idea of whats out there. There also some good demos on YouTube by Bobby D, BSIC and Donner.

Mikepick, I agree its an expensive habbit, but a fun one. Out of all the pedals I own and have owned none has prompted an addiction like Bjfe, after finding the forum I can tell that all Bjorns pedals are fantastic and I can;t wait to try more.

sonictroubadour, Your list of Bjfe pedals is amazing, can't wait to get my hands on some of them. I'll definitely post my experience with the Model R once I get it.

Thank you for the welcoming!

iurod, you might find the path to pedal acquisition a little faster on the used market. (I have been on the Model R list for over a year) But, it is always fun to have the new ones when they arrive and you can sell off the older ones.

I started by buying 7 OD/Dist pedals from online dealers and then happened upon a guy in my town that loaned me a HBOD and EGDM. In a few days I sent back all 7 pedals and found a used HBOD and EGDM for my own. And that lead to a Dyna Red, Sea Blue EQ and Model H. I also have had a PGC and a CAF, but I am not a compressor guy and the CAF was just too bright for my setup.

I'd still like to have/try several others, but the rare ones go for more than I can afford/justify.

I'm new to the forum as well. I've been loving MP pedals for a while and I think I'm ready to break into the BJFe. Just trying to do some research here. You guys are very informative.

My best advice is to look around the Library at pedal descriptions (especially acronyms) and pedal voltages. When you do get a new BJFE, or MP for that matter, cover up the labels under the knobs and approach it like a toddler (but dont break it :nono lol) and when you think you understand the pedal try different, but safe, Voltages. The EGDM is a very different animal at 9, 12 and 18 Volts! :pedallove

The other important thing is to ask questions. I have never seen someone tell another to do a search on that...

So, welcome, but don't outbid me on rare BJFE's :protest :pottytrain1
