CAF and Voltage changes

I thought I was going to be slick and lower the Voltage on my CAF to 7.9 Volts to thicken it up, but I found a fresh carbon battery did a bit better. So, I tried 12 Volts and WHOH DUDE! It is like a totally different fuzz!
Now I am running through an attenuator, so the real proof will be tomorrow at "basement" volumes. Lets say I am excited!
I also found out my buffer has died and was slowly robbing me of volume and high end, so I am now buffer-less and got rid of my only non-true-bypass pedal (a digital nova delay that converted everything to digital), so it will be a very different board/experience tomorrow.
