Think I'll pass on the trimmer change, but thanks! Now that I've got mine all dialed in, i'm really lovin' it. I discovered how to produce the grit and growl I originally thought it was lacking somewhat in heavier gain and drive settings and now sounds great on both big, thick saturated chords and wailing leads. And like I noted before, it is a much warmer and more responsive OD than I expected based on the previous comments I had read. Overall, it's a versatile and great sounding OD!

Theres two others sitttin at the postal orifice, which I cant get to til Friday now.......

and yeah zh the model H has a lot of range, and the target sound was actually in the lower gain range the upper part is gravy ...

I also think this version does show the dynamics best , especially with 'buckers and the different EQ...

Sent mine to Bjorn today for the trimmer change. I totally love this pedal. Fantastic mid-range grunt. It was amazing with my 74 tele deluxe (wide range pickups) and there were also great grunty tones there with single coils. I am playing through an old 60s AC30 and a 90s AC15 - both with blues.

It has been a while since I sold my previous H, the first donnnerbox version, so it is hard to compare - but I think this version is much more lively and has a different EQ. Surely I would never have sold it if it sounded this good!

Driving it into the BPB on the HBDLX with my tele deluxe was the greatest sound and they hairs on the back of my neck were seriously raised!! When I get it back from BJ my SYOD will probably be for sale. It does stack amazingly with the H and is an awesome pedal but it is hard to justify keeping both.

Finally back in town after 16 loooooong days of travel and my Ht was waiting for me! I got to play with it a little bit this evening and don't know that I need to bother with the trimmer change - it sounds pretty damn good as is! I played it along side my DRD and the ALF. You can definitely hear the lower mid emphasis next to the DRD. I mostly went back and forth between the DRD and the Ht and I really like them both, it would be hard to choose one vs the other. Ht sound worked equally well through both the 6v6 and el84 sides of my /13 JRT and sounded great with the tone on full treble (CW) with my TR Jet Sig (6l6). Very ballsy sounding drive, the DRD might have slightly more gain, but that could just seem that way with the higher mids of the DRD... The Ht has a grunt to it that is very pleasing and does not seem overly compressed in any way, still a very dynamic BJFE (as we would all expect). Bravo Bjorn for the tones and Bravo Donner for a great looking box! I'll post more after I have more time to play around, but I really like it right out of the gate. :salute

yeah the second group went the wednesday before TurkeyDay so they should about be there...

Right h121 - some people wont need the trimmer up grade ~ heck some people wont even need the trimmer
Mine sounds great as is thru greenbacks..... but some people playing decidedly bright or dark rigs will want the trims possiblities to get it just right....

I still love the version 1 with my strats as it has a rounder belly - but yes with pickups with more midrange the V2 and the trim are the perfect tweeks.
