To answer your question

It comes stock with an IC that is of CMOS technology and I have in one thread on the also provide part number for the first chip this model was designed with and why there were options and that was a chip that had FET inputs and that also happens to be one of the crudest( read simplest) dual OP amps but it also has some very fine qualities just because.

It uses but one IC and IC's are often refered to as chips do the way they are made.

Oh and LGW also uses a FET discrete transistor as input buffer.

I saw that you've started a thread also on this and I'll post this onto the thread too as it is a good question that some find interesting to know the answer to.
