HBOD sonic differences

Hey Fellas,
I know the HBOD has changed over time and I was wondering if anyone could tell me where my one sat in the grand scheme of things?
Were the HBOD's of this era bass or treble heavy, more~less gain, etc.
I have HBOD number 117 or 119. Not 100% sure because it is a little hard to tell if the last number is a 7 or a 9???
Any info would be great, it's just purely a curiosity thing.
Either way I love it. :glasses Cheers.

I wasnt aware of any change over time, but being handmade and tuned by ear there is room for a bit of variation depending on Bjorn's mood & current musical preference. Of course the ones made after a Sex Pistols concert would have more treble due to the ringing in his ears. :lolno:

Of course I could be totally full of poop, but over time I have had several examples of duplicate of triplicate boxes and just like guitars, they are exactly the same except different.

When I asked about them changing over time I was referring to how they were tuned, not to the obvious variation between pedals which you always get.
A few people had mentioned having different ones and noticing a semi decent amount of difference then I read this quote from Donner and I was just curious:

Hi,

for what I´ve noticed, owning four different HB´s, earlier ones have been more clear than dark, as Donner said.
My earlier ones, that I right now have are #005 and #032. Between those, as I compare them, #032 seems to be somehow to my ear a bit "nosier" - my favourite setting with HB is "everything full on"
The later ones, #100+ and #300+ (can´t remember serials), to my ear, have been somehow a bit "mushier" and darker, with same settings.

I´m a great junkie for HB´s, so I´d like to have another with serial under #010, just to hear if it´s "same animal" as my #005..

HB is very interesting pedal by so many ways!

The HB has evolved from the beginning ..... in fact part of its beginning was my asking for a BlueBerry Bass OD tuned for guitar - yeah a guitar version of a bass pedal
the BBBOD has a particular rumble and feel when played with guitar - but obviously its EQd for Bass ....

Since the HB is a darker overall pedal than most ODs I think its the one that most people would want to re EQ to taste given the chance - but the brilliant nature control takes care of most of that or pushing it with an RRB/LRT/SBEQ can do most of the rest if needed......
and the ease of distortion has a lot to do with what its fed pickup wise .....
but also once your ears adjust it sounds normal, until you dare turn it off ....

but once you get it matched up correctly its just perfect and wonderfully addictive ..... I still have that BBBOD and HBs # 2 and 3 and a customone and an HBDeluxe and like the best handmade stuff they each have their own wrinkles and thats a good thing.

Bottom line: If you get one you really like keep it. :glasses

Hmm. Interesting.

Would sure like to test BBBOD with a booster, or BBBOD eq:ed to guitar. Couple times I´ve seen BBBOD on sale here, but somehow (because it´s basspedal) I haven´t bought it - now I know I should.
Donner, how does BBBOD kick ass with baritone guitar? HB´ish feel and sound?
