Current pedal and BJF market

There have been some great opportunities for buying some BJF pedals lately.
HIstorically, BJF pedals have held their re-sale value particularly well,
but lately I've seen some of the lowest prices ever.....

I wondered if it's symptomatic of the overall market-
i.e. if it's an El Cap...it's already sold.
I also wondered if the new Mad Professor line might be a factor-
I know I've considered getting a Mad Professor DBD etc.
Any other community members have any thoughts?
Bruce Hornsby........"that's just the way it is" ??? etc.

.... oh Id think its a combination of all those things....
all markets are down in a world wide recession that doens't look to be going away anytime soon...
the vintage guitar/amp/peadl markets are really down

things go up and they go down ....

I have always tried to find things that I really want and just hold on to them unless I really need the money..... pedal flipping for money is a slippery game ......

I think it's an economy related lull. Some super hot pedal of the day like the el capistan will go in minutes, but I've noticed things taking longer to move regardless of the brand. I noticed a lull like this a few times over the last couple years... In fact back in around march this year things were taking a while to move. Some great deals for bargain hunters.

Yep it's a great time to look for pedals you've been lusting over! I know my eyeballs are more peeled than usual looking for some things in particular.

I try not to end up with pedals in a drawer, hence putting my EGDM and CAF back into the pond with the arrival of SYOD and ALF. That said, I did feel like I had to to go a little low to get bites when I posted them.

I have noticed that, locally, there have been some vintage guitars coming up for sale that I would never imagine seeing on craigslist or for under $40,000 much less under $20,000 (both WAAAAAY out of my price league). There was an all original 59 strat :drooling that sold locally for $14k (per local guitar shop)!

I'm sure that we will see BJFE stuff on the rise, especially after the newer MP versions have a little more time in the market.

EDIT: Sorry, don't mean to get everyone overly excited - I am posting my "Mint" GMV - a one stomp, no velcro, incredibly sweet vibe. Since the market is probably saturated because of the SBMV's (I ordered one too), I'm not going to rush this sale, but offer it for trade bait as well...

Yeah i'm thinking this way too. Its a Buyer's market. The economy is down and things aren't selling like they used to :(

There was a PRISTINE HB on TGP for 350.
I wanted to buy it just to give it a loving home or frame the finish and put it on a wall........

saw another in less perfect condition for 325.

Breaks my heart! :love4

Almost makes you wish my "gotta have it now" impulse didn't make me pick them all up a few months ago!

Ahhh but it's all been worth it :D
