Honeybee production date?

Postby jonnyrocket » Tue Aug 31, 2010 9:07 am

Hi, is there a way to know when this pedal was made? I ask, because i read somewhere on the board that the older honeybee's are a tad different from the newer ones.

cheers,
jon

Well usually you can track the version of your Honey Bee by serial numbers. Changes in the circuit are usually tracked this way. And yes, as a pedal goes into as wide production as the honey bee has then changes are made along the way according to feedback from users. I haven't heard of particular changes for the HB though so BJ may have to chime in on this. Anyone else ?

Thanks for the input Steve. So i just opened up mine and it says HB489. I am guessing that is the serial number right?

cheers,
Jon

Yeah the HB just crossed 500 units awhile back (surpassing the BBOD which was retired at 500)

Thanks for your help Steve,, and Donner.

I am fairly new to this forum and just saw that there is a registry of the BJFE pedals. There I was able to learn a bit more about the serial numbers and the current run of each unit.

cheers,
Jon
