EGDM - what a great surprise!

Just picked up a used EGDM and played around with it for a bit last night. Really cool sparkly/voxy drive with a lot of love for the el84 side of my /13. Stacks really well with the HB>EGDM and the DRD>EGDM. What I didn't expect was how well this pedal works as a clean boost - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING this way. As a clean boost, I would dare to say it might be a contender for an "always on" kind of pedal. It remains very transparent and simple makes my amp do more of what it does well, but bigger.

I noticed Bill was selling his EGDM and his DRD - DON'T DO IT BILL! My guess is that the new PCB effects are going to, eventually, infect many many more people with the same cravings that all of us have and BJFE's might get scarce.

Yeah, the HB/EGDM is a match made in heaven, one of my favorite stacks!! The pedal is definitely LOUD-- it gets aggressive very quick with the volume at lower levels, moreso than others. Even with the drive all the way down though, it has a lot of grit present. I havent found it to be overly transparent, but this could be because of my trimmer setting and amp vs yours.

There is no doubt this thing is unlike any other pedals out there... it captures cabinet "resonance" so well.

The EGDM is "outstanding"... I use it or the EGDM-HB-stack in front of my Vox AC30 and I must
confess it is, soundwise and dynamically, outrageously nice. But especially with the Vox, it is
very important (and rewarding) to trim the pedal to find the sweet spot.

The EGDM really loves those EL84's.

ditto everything here ..... and especially using the EG as a permanent 'amp agitator' getting your amp right up on the edge of distortion with dynamics and harmonic embellishment - yum Emerald Green Agitation MAchine :glasses

I use my EGD more than any other of my pedals. I think I need 2, one set for low gain and one for high. It seems to work with more amps than the DRD.
