Postby fuzzological » Mon Jul 12, 2010 5:51 pm

hi everybody 8) , it's anthony from paris (france), it's the first time i post a topic, sorry for my very bad english.
since a few days i have discovered the "snow white fuzz" on youtube whitch is, according to me, one of the most amazing fuzz pedal i've ever heard (maybe the most amazing).
It would be great for me to play with such a pedal. how can i do to get one?

First you should get informed. The Snow White Fuzz was a research pedal that evolved into the Arctic White Fuzz which I have and it is a very classy, elegant fuzz with a character all of its own. You can't buy the snow white anymore. You can find it on ebay at times or in the buy and sell forum.. .. The very first SWF is up for sale on ebay right now for a whopping 850$ http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... SS:IE:1123

Keep in mind that the circuit has evolved since the first batch (more gain, different tone control) so you may want to wait and get your hands on an AWF.

Good luck.

Thank you very much to both for your help.
The thing i didn't know and that i've just discovered is that BJFE and MAD PROFESSOR are made by the same man... and "mad professor" pedals are my favorite (i'm gonna buy the "sweet honey overdrive" after earing every sorts of overdrives on "youtube" for hours)
That means Bjorns is certainly the best pedal maker in the world... or at least my favorite one.
But i prefer the sound of the "snow white fuzz" pedal compared to the "fire red fuzz" pedal so i'm gonna try to contact Bjorn to manage to get one and eventually place an order even if i have to wait for month... i'm not in capacity to spend 850 dollards to buy it on ebay even if that price is justified by quality and rarity, but thank you for the information.
The funny thing is that my other favorite fuzz pedal is called "white fuzz" produced by Waylon Mcpherson in New Zealand. I also appreciate the "kalamazoo" by "lovepedal", the "supersonic fuzz gun" by "death by audio" and the "ethos" overdrive. You can see it on youtube if you have time to...
Thanks and take care

the SWF and AWF are two different pedals --- tho close, you would have a preference depending on the rig you are playing thru...

i think that for brighter voiced amps, the SWF is amazing. it is deep and warm, and is the kind of fuzz that will sound great when other fuzzes sound too bright and fizzy.

i have not tried the AWF or ALF yet.......but the SWF will always be one of my alltime fave fuzzes!

Yeah the swF is sort of the Fuzz cousin to the Honey Bee --- the AWF was a shift to a more midline EQ/performance .....
