Mybe just a Clip rack - just links to clips by model for reference..... and then discuss it on a discussion thread in the discussion section .....

there just isnt a clean way to do it , and really we dont want to end discussions anyway 8)

Well Donner,
I waited on replying sooner, and after reading your first reply, that's exactly what I wanted to hear(about past dynamics) and what I was thinking as well. Yes, discussion would get divided, but if it was done as a reference only, and keep the discussion in the discussion forum, I think it could work.

I personally wasn't coming from an end all be all "final reference" vantage point, and as Mr P, stated there's endless combinations that can be had yes, but to me that's the whole point...to have some organization of clips specific to one pedal(and over time a broader sonic perspective would be evidenced for each one by the different user's rigs and applications), and in the case of stacking, there could be specific boards dedicated to dual stacks(in either order), and three or more stacks.
Then as new members come in they'll have something to go by initially, and the sound/video clip library can be referenced in the discussion forum and I think this is what will enhance and fortify these threads between newer and "older" members, and discussion in general when it comes to sound/sonic goals, instead of always trying to quantify and qualify it through verbal description only.

Ah well, I reckon things get better by actually doing stuff and then growing/enhancing from there :-) I think that the BJFE Pedal Descriptions thread started off just as a list of known pedals and look what happened to it...

i just managed to borrow a ZOOM Q3 from one of my good buddies......well, i loaned him my Canon SD780 camera, which is a REALLY nice camera......but only did average audio for vid clips.

the ZOOM Q3 is completely AMAZING......true stereo 44.1k 16 bit audio, with built in condensor mics

the video quality is the same as most youtube demos.

but the audio quality is SUPER FINE.......i love it!

i am gonna be keeping it for a while, and probably re-recording some of my BJFe and Mad Professor demos with better audio.

for any of you that like to record clips, REALLY check out the ZOOM Q3 -- and ZOOM recently dropped the price on these, they are only $199 street price at Sam Ash and GC!

we used it to record our band last week, and the audio quality was SO GOOD, we are gonna be able to use it for our band demo/electronic press kit!

i hope my buddy really likes my Canon SD780, because he AINT getting this ZOOM Q3 back for a WHILE 8) 8) 8)
