Dammit Simon... just heard PRS doing another short, limited run of left handed models. Only 50 made, for a canadian dealer.

JUST WHAT I NEED in a fit of BJFE GAS... GRRRRR....

Must---- not----- buy------

I'm a lefty :)

Also have a collection of waaaaaaaay too many lefty guitars, so if anyone knows of any lefties on the market for lefty guitars let me know.

The hard part of being a lefty is you can't really go into a store and find your tone, had to do it by buying lefties. In most stores I'm lucky if they have 1 lefty guitar in it and the 1 lefty in the store is usually no good.

That's hard Bill! Forgive the long response....
but I'm sure many here relate.......

If I sold my BJF's...I could buy another amp or guitar.
If I went amp..Vox? Marshall? Ulbrick? Germino....
I'd get one sound....
or
look to my feet where I
have a HB,EGDM, DRD, Model H etc.
i.e. a bunch of amps
anyone can pick up and gig with.

There ARE times when I really envy the guitar colllections of some GP guys.
But a Strat, Tele and a Heritage. Covered.I can only play one at a time.
Single coils and humbuckers with a spilit coil. (Sure I'd love a Les Paul!)
There are times when I think hmmm..I'd love a H-535 or 140.

I also realize some people just need/ have one guitar.
I don't think the hunger ever goes away once you start.
Especially when you KNOW it's a new limited run.
But when you play one of your current guitars through the Model H which I
know has your name on it....it'll make you feel like you have a new rig again!!!
My problem with limited gear and Australian guitar prices with limited income is
eventually I get to a point where it's impossible to cut down,
e.g. I sold a PGC, KOT with Mods and a TOP to buy a second hand Heritage.
WRONG on the PGC.
or clean everything out and go back to a simple and minimal rig.
I guess teaching just won't give me the choices of a guy like the Edge!!!!!!
I'm guessing you'll find a way to get one...........

p.s.I went with my daughter to see Kelly Clarkson recently.
Both guitarists put on a collection show changing almost every song.
Both played great.
After a while a i asked my daughter (who I think has a good ear)
did she think there was a big difference...
there was NONE for her or me- nothing audibly transforming-
absolutely no difference in her mix which was surprisingly loud and bad (given the size of her crew/ set up etc.)

NOW...nichope...post some of those photos of the lefties you could get rid of!!!!!! :D :D :D

this icon can be found when you are adding a post to a thread.

If you have the images saved to an image hosting site (e.g. photobucket).

you use that url with the image icon. :D

Very nice collection.
And just when Bill and I are suppose to be exercising restraint!!!
I'd LOVE the Heritage but the shipping to Australia on the last one was steep,
with the import duty added.
I'm sure they'd go on lefty frets.
Must not be tempted by 535, must not.....

Thanks! I like the Bluesboy a lot. It's got a big neck, so I feel like I'm picking up my Louisville Slugger to knock the crap out of songs when I play it. Seriously though, having the big neck is actually really nice for the tone of the guitar. I like it better than my Tele '52 RI, which I'll probably also be selling. The '52 RI does have great tone now because I put some Kinman pickups in it, but I think I'd still take the G&L over it.... probably just my preference for semi-hollow guitars.

Strat-o-lux wrote:Wait a minute... so you have all left handed guitars but you play them right-handed? Or you play them left-handed but strung backwards? I think I'm confused.

What led you to this insanity? :D

I think it is because in the Northern Hemisphere we call them "South Paws" and Strings2Wood lives Down Under, so he has to string that way!
