SBEQ and PGC discovery.

I recently got my SBEQ back from Pete (aka) bigbadpj
Decided the SBEQ is MORE important to me than the PGC
for tone shaping.
Can make you fall in love with the bridge pick up
on your Strat in a great way.
Can tame the ice-pick thing for a killer lead tone
making the bridge pick up more user friendly
without being abrasive (as Strats can sometimes be).
It stacks really well with the DRD
and shapes overall tone in any room, hall, barn etc.
Previously if I had to choose b/w which pedal was used more,
it would have been the PGC.
Now I'm really enjoying hearing the guitar again in a more open way,
using compression when required rather than always on.
I now prefer to HEAR it as an obvious effect rather than the sweetener thing.
(And this from a guy who used to have 3 different compressors!!!!)
The pedal that is now irreplacable is the SBEQ.
I thought I'd be looking for another PGC,
but- SBEQ is the one I couldn't replace
and missed when it wasn''t on my board.
I'm surprised that my best clean tone doesn't require compression
as I previously thought.
Can't live without the SBEQ no matter where you put the knobs!
