Where can you get ahold of these things on a somewhat regular basis, even if that means wait list. Also, whats the cost? I LOVE the character. I'm a real low gain kind of guy and would love to stack this with other low gain devices such as the trotsky.

P.S. Sometimes you'll find these for sale on Ebay or on one of the forums...but not too often.

Thanks for the welcome.

I had checked those (other than [email protected]) and none of the american sites had them in stock. Custom-sounds had them available, as far as I could tell, but I always tend to look for an option that won't involve crossing an ocean (so, US or canada) as I've had some issues with international shipping in the past. I was hoping to hear that maybe there was a list you could get on to purchase one direct or something along those lines. Anyways, I'll keep my eyes open. Maybe I'll get lucky on one of the forums I post on.

Thanks again

Yeah, I don't know if the store-type dealers keep a running waiting list of people. I think a lot of times you just have to get lucky.

That being said, I do believe Dean Farley (the LeoMuser address) DOES do the waiting list thing...but you have to pre-pay for your order. If I am incorrect in this, I am sure someone who knows better can chime in. But I am almost positive as to how that works.

Good luck

I agree with Donner that "the Bee" takes on its best personality with the amp cranked. At low volume, it can be a bit "loose".

Played around a bit with the Zendrive at low gain/higher volume into the Honey Bee. (Zen>>HB) Made for a pretty good combination.

With the amp up or, if you have to turn it down to maintain civility, with the Zen, and I would imagine a few other drives, it really adds character.

I could not truly appreciate the "nature" control on the HB until I crank the volume.

Was thinking this morning on the drive in that I should reverse my current order and put the Model R before the HB. I'm sure its been done....

in a bridge pos, it has the attack of a bridge, and the sweetness of a neck pos, that so tipical for this pedal, and that made it unique.
That sound you wont get when you started from the bridge and looking for your sweet spot.

Just wanted to chime in....I've ordered four pedals from Custom Sounds and they are as good as anyone in the business....excellent and prompt communication, quick shipping, etc. Takes less than a week once it ships (at least to the Midwest). I'd sooner do business with them, than some others. Also, Make N Music seems to have BJF's in stock fairly regularly. Worth a call. Good luck, and welcome to the addiction. :)
