Rocketride Asteroid Chorus

Postby CitizenAudio » Mon Feb 15, 2010 4:49 pm

Are the current stock ones being sold by thesegoto11 deluxe models or standards and what was the difference between the two versions?

Thanks!

If someone could also post dimensions, that would be helpful!

I was told that the only difference between the standard and the deluxe was that the deluxe was hand painted. Its really a great pedal! Hope this helps.

Yep, handpainted was the only difference- circuits are the same.
Bobby D loves his.
I sold mine and kept the Analogman Bi-Chorus-
for me it had more range and versatility.
The Rocketride nails the EHX small clone sound perfectly.
If that's what you want, it's a winner.

I like Andy Summers type chorus-
and for that sound the EHX Electric Mistress or Deluxe Electric Mistress
cannot be beaten (and was his signature sound with compression).
I wasn't using the vibe side of the Rocketride at all,
and not just because I have a Mojo Vibe.
The Analogman met more of my chorus needs.

I appreciate the comments.

I think I will go with the Asteroid Chorus as it seems to be a bit more spacial and airy and thus, making it more complimentary to the guitar's tone and with other effects.

I want both to try sooner or later.

If I didn't have the Bi-Chorus, I'd have the Asteroid still.
But I didn't use the vibe side at all
and with the 3 way Depth toggle switch,
the Bi-Chorus has more
tonal variations and applications for me.
Enjoy the Asteroid. :D

p.s Donner did a great demo and description of the Bi-Chorus
and what the Depth toggle does.
