Questions about DRD differences...

Is there a sonic difference or a difference in parts between the older, flat color painted DRD's and the newer ones. I have one of the newer ones, but I'm considering one of the old ones. Maybe there's a "mojo" in the old paint?

IIRC, they are the same except for the paint.
