Nice... I caught the thread with the photo, and thought that is gonna be trouble for the butterfly... Pedal sounds and looks wicked. Loved the tone from 1:51-2:20ish. Those Marshall 20 watt heads are lots of fun.

Looks and sounds great. Love the mods and would love to pick one up. Went to the Fromel website, but couldn't find anything on the Folk Fuzz.

Thanks,

Edward

it's a REALLY cool pedal....John outdid himself with the artwork on this one!

the FOLK FUZZ circuit REALLY sounds great....it goes from FUZZ to an almost overdrive-like character....

kinda reminds me of the baby blue at times.

thank you John! jessica is really loving this pedal, and it is something i am sure she will keep for the rest of her life....she's not a typical gearhead like the rest of us

i bought her a REALLY cool 1981 Fender "Bullet" bass a few years back...here she is playing it.

notice she ALREADY has that "cool bass player slouch" going on

Hi Edward,

The Folk Fuzz is a circuit that was designed by Bjorn, tweaked by Nic at NOC3 and some very minor tweaks from myself. I put together the kits, Donner painted the boxes. It was a collaboration of a DIY build so we could all learn more aobut pedals in general and fuzz in particular.

This build for Jess was a very special pedal that I custom made with a photo taken by Jess and a Folk Fuzz circuit tuned for bass.

That is really the idea behind the folk fuzz, the circuit is not set in stone but if the basic format is followed you will get a good sound from it. I will say that the Fuzz I made for Jess does not sound anything like the folk fuzz kits that were shipped. The folk fuzz kits sound like a BJFE pedal and the Jess Fuzz sounds about half way between a BJFE and Fromel, go figure
