That's cool that it works for you as is, though I'm not talking about something else, I think I clearly mentioned the possibility(and it's just my take on it), that this great sounding pedal could be AMAZING with more bottom end.
In addition, having a more overall use-able frequency range on the tone control, not just for my needs, but just to be more versatile overall, to get THAT tone, with single coils through a Fender say, as with your Paul through the Hiwatt.
I might easily say you wouldn't get nearly as close with your Tele through the Hiwatt in standard tuning, and in that mode, you certainly wouldn't be nudging that tone control past 1 pm on the dial, and my point is, that's a lot of leftover travel left in the pot's rotation.
