The end of the year is always a time for looking back and moving forward at the same time ( this is also a good way to hurt yourself  )

So.....

What 3 things would you change about BJFE pedals.....

and what 3 things would you never change ~ just wouldnt be BJFE without it ? 8)

i can't think of ANYTHING i would change about BJFe, other than making them easier to get in the USA and more affordable.

and i would NEVER change the artwork and aesthetic of the BJFe line.....i love the handmade look, love Eva's artwork, and love to look down on my board and see my BJFe pedals smiling at me.

perhaps some more DONNERBOXED BJFe for the new year? i would like to see some limited edition DONNERBOX SWIRL BJFe pedals

I'll evade specifics of Donner's query and just say this: becoming acquainted with various BJFE pedals this past year has been a revelation. This time last year I'd have said I'd pretty much tried it all, knew what worked for me and what didn't. If someone had suggesting I'd be replacing much of the stuff on my pedalboards over the coming year I'd have laughed at them. Live and learn.

So, just keep on keepin' on. I hope to see some R&D/custom pedals become more available (Model H, AWF). I don't doubt Bjorn has some surprises in store.

A Custom HBDRD OR DRDB
dual pedal with a pre/ post switch.
Honey Bee and DRD pedal. The ultimate stack.
I don't need one. I'd just like to see it! :D

i too would fancy a honeybee/dyna red dual pedal....

but bjorn talked some sense into me -- it's better and easier to have the two pedals separate, as you may want to carry ONe pedal to a gig/jam/session....

but i agree.....a honeybee/dyna red would be amazing.

i had already NAMED mine

"the Bobby D DYNA BEE" ! !!!

How about a honey bear distortion then. A new, higher gain, member of the esteemed honey family perhaps? or does the DRD already cover that turf?

To me that is the Model H.

My only comment would be to have the above mentioned pedals be made for lower output pickups. It seems many of the pedals are tuned for humbuckers and my Strat just cant get them in the zone without a little boost in front of them. That is why I run my SBEQ before the dirt so I can fool the pedals into thinking I have a humbucker :) It may also be why the EGDM works so well for me.

Totally agree on the EGDM.
DRD for me is better with my Tele than Strat.
The EGDM is really punchy and tight with the Strat AND Tele, Especially postiton 3 on the Strat. (I think the BJF made me learn to love outside of positions 2 and 4 on a Strat!)

This is a great thread on the inception of the Model H too Scott.
Some really good adivice on settings especially in terms of winding back the guitar volume.
The thread is in the library and you might have already read it.....

Ther Model H can truly get that Live at Leeds tones- even with a Tele-
(I think someone suggested Pete was using P-90's on those recordings????- I'm sure someone will know and chime in.

Cheers,

Simon.
