Honeybee day in the recording studio

Postby Bobby D » Tue Dec 08, 2009 12:39 am

so, i got up this morning and put on my honeybee shirt.

had to go into the studio and record FOUR new songs.

lots of work. in studio from 12 to 12......TWELVE hours in the studio today.

honeybee LOVE.......

the producer LOVES the honeybee. i had used the HB Deluxe on some tracks, and he wanted that sound BACK.

so i ended up getting a honeybee standard, and it sounds quite nice....i miss having the BPB side of the deluxe model, but i like the smaller size box.

two quick demos of honeybee in between recording tracks:

some noise from the snare drum rattlin' on that one...

another demo, a bit better. guitar is LOUD, about overdriving the camera....

ah, the honeybee. it sits on my desk. it's scared of the velcro. but i am NOT scared of the velcro.

it's gonna get velcroed.

it's gonna get chipped

it's gonna be drug around on bar room floors, salty florida outdoor gigs, and probably get beer spilt upon it.

but now, it is pristine, clean, and still has that "new BJF smell"

lol......not for long.

last nite, with a humbucker, i REALLY heard the high gain side of the honeybee.

surprising. i thought it was JUST a low-gainer :D

Hey maybe you should trade with someone who has an already trashed one ..... or just have it installed in your guitar and save the box

lol.........

i honestly don't mind the honest wear and tear on them, i think they look GOOD after some hard gigging

and as i have already learned my lesson regarding letting ANY of them go, i am not worried about resale one bit 8)

but if you got a beat up one, and want a pristine one, i would be glad to send you this one if it would make you happy

in my honeybee dream, where i was walking around NAMM, there was an asian company that had a magazine cover like that one, with my photo on it, saying that they had a HONEYBEE CLONE just like the one played by BOBBY D
