BJFE / BearFoot fx Guitar Effects Community

i dunno.......i have been a pedal lover since 1974 when i got my first fuzz a sekova chrome wedge.

over the years, i was always the first guitarist in the circles i ran around in to have the "latest and greatest" effects boxes. had a foxrox provibe from the first run Dave did of those. had one of the very first fulldrives ever made. had a klon in 1997. etc etc etc......

but out of ALL the fancy pedals i have had over the years, NOTHING has compared to the BJFe pedals.

i am so happy to have found them, and that very first BJFe came to me in a strange way -- digging in the "used bin" at a local store, i found EGDM #36, one that had been made for Dan Spitz of Anthrax. i bought it immediately......something about it drew me to it, even though i had no idea what it was or who made it.

years later, i began to be interested in BJFe, and started upon the path i am now.....

my humble little collection of them has grown a bit, and so has my love for the pedals and the man who makes them, as well as all of you here at BJFE.org.

i could truly have about any pedals i wanted.....and i have tried MANY MANY pedals. but nothing compares to the BJFe stuff.

just waxing rhapsodic today...."preaching to the choir" as my dad would say

......I love 'em too!...My BJFE's stand Tall over all my other pedals...and i've been thru more than a few, vintage and modern builders...these are the best!...

yep.....i take a bit of heat on some forums for my love of BJFe stuff. and i can understand why some people are just jealous of the pedals. they ARE expensive and hard to get...but well worth the $$$ and the time spent to chase them down.

i know that bjorn is actively seeking a solution so that BJF pedals will be able to be gotten in the USA for a much more affordable price. i hope everything works out with that i don't know much about it, but i know that he is concerned, and is trying to seek a solution that will make a lot of us in the USA happy

it would be very nice to live in sweden, where the BJFe pedals are the same price as fulltone and Xotic...

i think i have pretty good ears when it comes to pedals. many of the pedals i used when they were new (ts808, boss Dc-2 dimension, EHX small clone, etc) are all pedals that have come to be regarded as "classics" and now command high prices.

and there's something SPECIAL about the BJFe pedals, ESPECIALLY the honeybee, the dyna red, pine green, baby blue, snow white, candy apple, etc.

candy apple in particular.....HOW DOES HE DO IT???? how can there be SO MANY sounds in that fuzzbox? i almost wish i could have a footswitchable NATURE knob, so i could switch it "on the fly".......but the CAF amazes me.


the honeybee is my favorite overdrive pedal EVER, hands down. i have never played a better one.

the dyna red is my fave distortion pedal EVER as well.

i am so happy to have found the pedals, and to have been lucky enough to film all these demos and use them for my gigs. and i am very appreciative of the BJFE forum brothers who have lent me pedals for demos and experiments. you guys ROCK!

I love the 'oh yeah thats right' moments when I think Ive hit something better and then the side by side comparison reminds me ..............................
