thank you kinger! i had missed this pedal quite greatly, but it has come BACK into my life, and for those nites that i do not want to use the ROCKETRIDE wah pedal, the SWAW comes in handy.

plus....you can dial it in to have that "set wah" type filter sound, for those michael schenker type moments 8)

i have heard a LOT filters over the years, both with guitars AND with synths of all types.

the SWAW filter is one of the fattest and juiciest filters EVER. i think there are some synth/keyboard players that would LOVE this pedal. the SWAW, along with the TOP Tiny Orange Phase, are two of the most under-appreciated pedals from the Mad Professor line!

Just when I thought I might give my bank account a rest. You're downright diabolical, Mr. D.

I hear ya. I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep the DRD that came to visit recently. And I keep thinking about a Model H.

My impression from your demo, and Sebastian's, is the SWAW is more guitar friendly than most auto wah/envelope follower devices, and also the controls seem useable throughout their sweep (I guess that's kind of a BJF trademark - genuinely functional controls). This is such a fun effect, but my old Mutron III and several others I've used are very fussy to adjust and tend to be noisy. I expect the SWAW will be a pleasure to use, by comparison.

the SWAW is very easy to use, once you LEARN it.

the trick is to learn how to set the bias and resonance controls for the right filter sound you like.

THEN you adjust the sensitivity and decay knobs for the right attack and decay of your filter sweep.

finally -- your GUITAR VOLUME KNOB is the most important setting of ALL.......that will control how much wah you get.

it's really the best of the best when it comes to auto filters.....and i have had the mutron III, the moog LPF, and plenty of others. as well as doing a LOt of works with synths and those types of filters, including the sherman filterbank.

the SWAW has one of the most FAT and SWEET filters i have ever heard, and i bet a lot of SYNTH players would like it too, to use with their keyboards!
