I've never tried it over 9v and now after your reply would never attempt it!

A quote from BJ is: "A tip on the DRD is to run it at 7.5 V or a little less, which gives it a bit more saturation."

True - I use the 'treble retention mod' on all my single coils for that - but yes the LRT would solve that one also....

and be sure and try the SBEQ both in front of and after the DRD (and any other drive) .... changing the EQ pre and post can be very diferent things in distortions

I'm trying the sag switch on the PP+2 a little below noon as an approximation. Thanks so much for the wealth of archival posts in the library (Descriptions- Availability-origins/ voltage etc. etc).

Just to be clear, if I score an SBEQ I should try it with a 9v battery and also with an 18v plug? What does the PP2 run at, by the way? I have one, but am just starting playing again after 6 years away...I have forgotten 90% of what I knew about everything...not that it was much:)

And can the LRT run at 9v or 18?

The 18v(or whatever v) plug will disconnect the battery inside...

not sure about t he LRT and voltage but I dont think you would need any more headroom from it ; ]
