Model H on the way! What should I expect? Placement in chain

Postby strings2wood » Wed Oct 28, 2009 5:07 am

Sebastian at thesegoto11 shipped it on Monday.
What should I be looking forward to:
cs'56 strat: cs "57 tele into a Fender Vibro King.
Boomerang III shipped the same day.
BJF stable is now: PGC, HB; EGDM; DRD; SBEQ;
I have a Pedaltrain 1 and will do some rearranging to fit everything including the area 51 wah.
Any suggestions on where to place the Model H in the chain?????Image

Appreciated. And your right I've relly been wanting this bad..
Have I ever been disappointed with waiting for a BJF before? Never.
The wait has always been worth it so I'm looking forward to it's arrival big time.

Cheers Buddy.

I also run my Model H with the VK. And it can still leave me breathless.
One of the nicest BJFE for the VK in my opinion.
Looking forward to hear your thougts on the combo!

Thanks Vibroking!
Do you own/ have you tried a DRD through the Vibroking and if so do you still have both?
My first DRD had too much bass response (imo) and I sold it.
Then I read a post from from Aaron D on TGP who had a DRD mod where Mr. Juhl
made him a DRD with less bass response and more gain.
It's my perfect match for a VK to get marshall tones.
I really should make a clip of that one too as a variation to the standard DRD.
I'll try and post a Model H clip too!
I wont match Bobby D's number of clips or playing,
but I promise I'll leave my pants on!
Check out his TOP clips to "hear" what I mean and why we don't see Bobby in that first clip!

At the moment I have both, yes. Though I probably will sell the Dyna. Like it a lot with the Vibroking but I generally use my fuzzes for lead tones and as for dirt I tend to have what I need in my overdrives. For me the dyna sounds like the best hi gainish pedal I ever tried, but it delivers too much gain for my taste.
No surprise since it's a distortion pedal, but anyway ... :D

Congrats! Great pedal. Before thinking about placement, just plug straight into w/o any other fx,
and dig where it's coming from. It has great sustain and feel, and a "give" when you lay into it. I don't like stacking it with anything else because it neuters that feel.
For any distortion/fuzz/dirt box, I like them most of the time after filter/wah/octave peds, but before delays and modulations.
