I waited a LONG time and it was pre-ordered and I got an
email letting me know it was ready.
Mr. Juhl is a very busy man with
MANY projects, amps, different pedals at the best of times.
Sebastian told me he was waiting on specific parts to make the Model H.
I don't know that Mr. Juhl makes as many of the Model H compared to e.g. Honey Bee etc.
The Australian dollar is pretty strong at the moment so it was
priced in the range of my other BJF's with the exception of the SBEQ which was cheaper.
I was prepared to wait despite the fact I have seen second hand Model H's in the $600 U.S. range.
I've also seen the second hand prices of a few recently as low as $470 U.S.
Things seemed to have really slowed down lately (imo).
I know I'm far less impulsive on the second hand prices and have become
more prepared to wait in the current climate.
Can't wait till it gets here, I also got my Boomerang III on Friday
I truly think I'm done with pedals for a LONG LONG time.
Now for that P.A............

Hi,

As far as I know an SBEQ, Model H or Honey Bee et.c would all be priced the same.
Model H I make in batches now and then due to parts are not available around the corner but I'll have to wait for delivery. Also I have not really released this model only made some since there were so many requests.
I'd try to diminish orders for all standard models first but as it always goes at any given point production must follow what is the most efficient, which gives green weeks and honey weeks and red weeks and anything custom when there's a gap and then provided there are parts.

Regarding placement in chain I'd think it is not so critical Model H is mostly a device driven by how much signal you put into it.
To get a feel for how it works try striking strings as softly as you can at first while setting gain high....
then strike hard.....

Check also how distortion can be manipulated by turning down the volumecontrol on your guitar.

Have fun
BJ
