CANDY APPLE FUZZ is beautiful!!!!

Postby Bobby D » Thu Oct 22, 2009 5:55 pm

wow......another pedal that i had let go of, and regretted it immediately

but a Candy Apple has come back into my life, and i am VERY happy. it is the perfect fuzzy complement to the Snow White Fuzz. they are so different, but between the two of them, i have all my FUZZ covered

and i will be using this with my new "crazy" acoustic rig. i think the CAF is gonna REALLY sound nice with the acoustic. i am finding that the brighter sounding pedals work best with acoustic.

and, i will of course be doing a NICE demo of this one, as i had not done a dedicated demo of the CAF when i had mine before.

learned my lesson though.......i will NOT let go of my BJF's ever again. nothing can replace them! 8)

Yes, the Candy Apple rocks. Tons of tonal options, like a fuzz chameleon, great sustain, and a perfect counter to the Arctic/Snow white.
I am curious now to hear it with an acoustic, but I can understand how it all can work in that setting with the EQ dialed in.

well, your VIDEOS are amazing. RAKING THE LAWN is classic. i think we are EVENLY MATCHED when it comes to crazy

went to a gig tonite, sat in as guest guitarist with the FUNKABILLY PLAYBOYS, and brought my strat and just the CAF.

into blackface 66 vibrolux

turned up VERY loud.

sounded AMAZING. i cranked the fuzz UP, and just used guitar volume control. it was amazing.

videos and photos to come shortly

i was really impressed with the CAF tonite........it really sounded bigger and thicker than i remember, and when using my guitar volume, it allowed me to have a somewhat less gainy tone, and when i cranked up, i had controlled feedback and madness!!!

i can't wait to do this with the acoustic, gonna try it next week!

my soundman/engineer just bought the new Zoom Q3 digital audio and video recorder, which does really nice video recording and VERY GOOD audio, with stereo condensor mics built in. VERY impressed with the audio from that unit. i am gonna be using that for my upcoming pedal demos. it is the BEST audio quality from ANY video camera i have ever heard.

and the CAF???? i am really glad this one is back home with me

Fun solo!
As Donner said, the CAF really is cutting through. It sounds like the little octave characteristic of the pedal is shining through as well.

hhahahaha.....i was going "au naturel" that nite.

and yes......the other guitarist is a pedal fanatic, but he doesn't have any BJFe yet.....i am thinking maybe some MP first.....

the CAF really DID cut thru. you shoulda heard the first song (my GF was busy snapping photos instead of video)

i hit ONE NOTE.......cranked it up.......let it ring.......and sustain....for like 15 seconds.....until the note bursted into hendrix like feedback and decayed like the amp was gonna blow up.

it was the first note i had ever played on this CAF......and i knew, in ONE NOTE, that i like THIS one. 8)
