Just got a PPF....

Postby cedjazz » Wed Oct 07, 2009 12:28 am

Is the BJFE Pink Purple Fuzz stackable?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does it stack with a Honeybee? Sea Blue EQ? Front end or back end? Looking for someone who's stacked this pedal with other BJF's OR other pedals for that matter(Hotcake,Timmy, etc). It's a rather unique fuzz that's almost a hybrid between OD and fuzz, plus it's hella dynamic.....HELP!!!!..... GAS!!!

Hi,

Yes, it is designed to work in various positions. As an example it combines well with DRD ither like this
DRD>PPF or like this PPF>DRD
PPF can be driven by boosters for instance to on the fly change fuzzlevel from low to higher.
The input circuit on PPF is high impedance at about 500K and is voltage driven which means that it ignores more orless what impedance it is driven from as long as that is lower than 50K Ohm's.
Prefered output loadis about 500K Ohm's but can circuit can drive down to 25KOhms without degredation and circuit can drive easily 1000pF's parallel capacitance which is far more than a guitar pick up would like to see.
This all means that you can put your PPF anywhere in your signal chain and listen if it sounds good.

Have fun
