If so or if not, which amp are you using?

Yeah I would agree - the CAF and Folk Fuzz are pretty raw, the PPF is slightly civilized on purpose, it was born to 'fill the gap' between OD/Distortions and Raw Fuzzes,
Yup specific parts ran out and unless some turn up some day ththththats all folks on the PPF ....

and the upcoming Fire Red Fuzz covers some of this territory too ....

It says that Gilmour would like the FRF. I'm not too big on Pink Floyd, but I was watching a video on TV of his and it seems that his lead tones kind of had that warm thick fuzzy tone...might have been some of the ambience from delays or phasers that made it thicker....but it was a nice tone indeed.

Then there is that part of me that wants the bouncing off the wall speaker ripping demolition fuzz that the CAF seems to be capable of. I have a '69 fuzz but I haven't plugged that in for atleast a year...just never really meshed with it.

I'm somewhat of a Pink Floyd fan, but from a distance, not a fanatic. Anyway, I think of the PPF in different terms. It's got a lot more use than just Pink Floyd type stuff. As some have said, it bridges the gap between distortion and fuzz, so it's good for anything from alternative, modern rock, classic rock, punk, etc. Definitely worth a look if you get the chance!

You have to try your PPF with a ProAnalog DD. Amazing!! One of the best combo's I've heard. There are a few for sale at TGP.
Give it a shot.
