Don't know (and have never really wondered) the answer to that one, actually.

As Bjorn always says, it's less about the what components are in there ... but more about how the designer has chosen to use whatever he's using.

Both the PPF and CAF are silicon but in reality, you wouldn't know it.

PPF

I think I can now report. The Dyna-Red has yielded it's position of most used, versatile BJF to.......the Pink Purple Fuzz. An amazing fuzz/od. Being wah friendly doesn't hurt.

As many on this board I have several BJF pedals that I rotate on and off of my board, but the one I keep coming back to the most is the PPF. I love the fact that it is a fuzz that can also claim to be an OD. Heck I think I tend to use it as an overdrive more than a fuzz. Also, I have not found an amp that does not like having the PPF in front of it. The soup of the day today has been my beano boost (analogman sunlion) -> PPF ->Harry Joyce Custom 50 - or it might be the nice bottle of Syrah that I opened.

Have a great night!!

mmmmmmmm....PPF. My new favorite BJF pedal. No pedal has ever sounded as good with the SupaQuack. Is Bjorn a wah player? The EQ is great, nice, very useful range in there. I love stacking it with other dirts, puts a nice little fringe of hair on top. It likes the PGC and it really craves bridge pickups. El volume controlo on la guitara is extrememly effective with the pink purple. Why is it discontinued? Nice job Bjorn and a "Hell Yeah" to the guy who sold it to me (He has another one!)

Ran out of parts necessary to build it, and no more are available.

anyone else besides me find it better into a clean amp than a already driven amp?
If so or if not, which amp are you using?
