Hi,

Thank you great fun,

I'd like to say a few things about the modifications

On the Asteriod the EH Small Clone was the one I used in the days you had to have chorous or you'd be sacked from the band ;)
The reason then was it was the one that sounded the best to my ear.
Modulation I think is always hard to use unless you can set depth and it can be much more useful if you can set lower depth....hence Depth control.
Vibrato and Chorous are set in sequence on the Asteriod.

SD-1: the tone switch is made to make the D and G strings distort more in up position and less in low........

This is another way of saying it controls an upper mid precense that also makes an imporant eq control to amplifiers and speakers and something I felt more important to control than the relative level of treble when running an array of guitars through and array of amplifiers in the testroom.

Finally while the DS-1 has the least control range ontop it took the longest time to modify and even though it may seem to be just a distorted sound getting the exact clarity with any complex chord and singing feedback without any metallic artifacts proved most hard.

Later my very good friend professor Polifemo asked if there was one distortionbox that could take his chords that he had constructed with intervals that would intermodulate at the hint of distortion, but now to be preformed with heavy distortion for an electrified feel.........
I believe I will have to work out how to take some lessons from the dear professor.
For this the DS-1 was the only distortbox that could do the chords.

Oh yes in accordance oh yes I had a DS-1 and only because every once in while there was a Roland JC -120 in the back line and then I'd have a rock sound ........that's about it; but then as I was finished with this modification and showed this to a good friend and a talanted guitarist, he said he wanted the Rocketride DS-1 after having heard me playing through one because he was doing a theatrical show and playing a cover of Sex Pistols' God Save The Queen in it.......just alluding to your t-shirt.

Having fun and be well
BJ

i found the clarity very COOL with the modded DS-1, especially with the amount of gain present. the DS-1 is a REALLY cool pedal....almost TOO good

Thank you Bobby once again, for yet another round of very helpful video demos. The stuff sounds REALLY good...especially the DS-1.
I really will make a concerted effort to get some video demos up eventually, going back to the SYOD V2 and the Arctic White, as well as a few others to add to the compilation.
