FS: Little Purple Overdrive - SYOD in Disguise

Why am I selling this coveted piece of BJFE history? (For those of you that don't know, it's an SYOD in disguise.) Well, I finally got ahold of an SYOD2, and as much as I'd like to be an absolute BJFE miser gear whore, I can't afford it at this moment.

So I will send it on its way out into the BJFE-loving world so someone else can experience the glory of the SYOD. It's a sweet pedal. There are a few hair scratches on the bottom that keep it from being the much coveted "dead mint" pedal. But it's pretty damn close, as you can probably tell by the picture.

I will sell for $550, which, not-so-coincidentally, is the price I paid. Shipping and PayPal are an extra $200. I'll throw in a battery for an extra $20. I'll wrap it carefully for $50. And I'll put your address on it for $75. Insurance will be an extra $75. Handling $35. Box and tape $13.50.

Total comes to $1018.50 everything included.

Unless you want the knobs as well and the back plate as well. That's another $80.

International buyers welcome! Shipping fees will be somewhat higher, though.

I'm kidding about all the surcharges by the way. $550 out the door, carefully packed and insured to the CONUS. Slightly higher for int'l shipping. Just shoot me an email or PM>

Have you sold it yet? If not, I'm interested.

So, is the circuit identical to the SYOD V1's? I would also like to know weather it's sold or not. :)

this circuit pre-dates the V-1...sort of a proto-type/one off....it sounds a little fatter then the V-1 version, and less treblely...i used to own the LPOD for awhile...just my opinion though....best of luck with the sale...i'd buy it back if i had the cash right now....

Hey, haven't seen this one for a while! Bjorn suggested and made this one as a solution to my needs when I was asking for an overdrive that would provide the clarity of the MGMV's tone to use into the Normal Channel of my AC30. Hence the lil' tea cup on the bottom. I have a couple of clips in my sig I think for anyone who wants to hear it.

Anyway, ultimately I found the LPOD lacked the low end I needed and so I traded it straight for a CAF to someone who then hiked the price and sold it for the mucho dinero it's commanded ever since. I've never tried a SYOD of any type, so can't compare there, but I seem to recall Doc's Dynamic Orange was a similar/identical circuit too? Voiced to compliment the DRD when stacked if I remember right?

Good luck with the sale anyhow.

Tea.

Hmmm . . . didn't realize there were slight differences between the SYOD and this pedal. Well, I suppose it's more accurate to call it an "SYOD prototype."
