.. I brought the SWAW to a session, but didn't play it, but told the bass player on the session to check it out. He used it on the track immediately. He was Jessica Simpsons MD so he's no hack.
the bass version frequency is tuned for bass, one octave lower I think. Alone and side by side the regular version on bass seems to let more effect thru, making it sound more 'wet' and quacky, especially on the high end. I used it for a while with bass and it always got the sound I needed.
But with guitar and drums mixed in, the difference is not really noticeable and I would prefer the bass version as its much tighter feel, lets more low end thru in the bass signal itself, while still being as funky as the regular version.
also BBBOD >SWF is a great bass fuzz combo to try.
