Least Expensive- BJF Pedal on the Used Market

Postby whoatherechunk » Wed Jun 17, 2009 11:59 am

Alright guys...sorry for the newb question.

I'm into effects (obviously....i've come to the king's lair :P ).....and TBH I don't know much about BJorn's products.....well I do....but I need to research them more. I was simply wondering what are some of the least expensive BJF pedals on the used market. I'm not looking for amazing blowout deals ha....but I jsut would like to know which ones are on the lower end of the spectrum as compared to super duper custom shop ones etc. Anyways thanks for the help. In addition, I'm not looking for any particular sound or effect...I just want to know which are the least expensive. Thanks.

hard to tell these days buy try a search in the emporiums and for sale sections,,,

recently a few inexpensive used SBEQ's,

I would also highly recommend looking at MP pedals for good used deals.

yeah there were some really great deals on SBEQs a while back--I'm kicking myself for not snagging one while the snagging was good!

And really the used market fluctuates so much... its absolutely worth it to wait for the right deal, or just get a brand new one from Custom-Sounds. You'll have to do the whole waitlist thing but there is something special about a fresh from the shop BJFE pedal. Ahh, that smell... I probably sound ridiculous, but some of you guys know what I'm talking about. That new BJFE smell can't be beat

I honestly wouldn't pay 400+ for any of the standard models used. Its just such an easy markup for people to do, especially on TGP. Now, different story if somebody is selling for what they paid--totally understandable--but I like waiting for that rare person who is selling in the 330-375 range. That is beyond fair and those are the deals to look for on stuff like the HB, DRD, etc.

EGDMs tend to go a little cheaper, SBEQs get down into the mid $200s sometimes.

I can't stress it enough though... anyone new to the whole BJFE world owes it to themselves to get a brand new one at some point (and get a spare bottom plate for it too! no velcro paint rip!)
My BJFE- Some special ones. Some standard ones. I love them all just the same.

I've seen a few BPBs going a lot cheaper than I would have thought in the last few months too.

The SBEQ seems to be the one selling the cheapest at 250$-270$... The EGDM is often sold for around 325$, and the rest of them 370$ and up...
