Whenever I hear a smooth jazz song, I pretty much just hear a bunch of bland soprano sax... then I turn the radio off.

Unfair! Don't bludgeon us with the execrable Kenny G. Not every pop tune turned funky jam is worthy of contempt! On the other hand, most of what FM radio calls "Smooth Jazz" does suck. Ah well, some of us have to be whores to make a living...

I'm also happy to know that you're using it for something I'd never play personally. I want it to be good for a variety of situations, and don't know how I would be able to test it for "smooth jazz" myself, since I have no idea what that's even supposed to sound like! Whenever I hear a smooth jazz song, I pretty much just hear a bunch of bland soprano sax... then I turn the radio off.

Smooth Jazz is made to be talked over without annoying the people that are listening to it 8)

yeah...the band leader played soprano and alto sax.....but later in the nite it changed to more funk and R&B stuff, thankfully.

but the fact that the guitar sound caught his ear is significant! he liked the sound, and so did i.

i am going to record an actual demo if it tomorrow, then it will go to CABO! 8)

it's a very nice sounding low gain OD......i dig it.

uploading now......folk driver sounded GOOD....love the tone control, each way boosts a different set of mid freqs, and gain as well.

quite a versatile little box with a VERY good tone!

and boosting the SHOD with the FD gave me a REALLY good sound too!

SHOD is my fave these days.....but the Folk Driver is a WINNER. i would totally own one of these. it's a great box. :D
