Yeah, those two are up there as some of my favorite pedals ever. I love my BBBOD so much its probably a little creepy.
I've tried the Candy apple fuzz, and its sounds really good on the bass. Some settings loose some lows, but they are usually fairly solid for such a crazy fuzzbox. Some really good gated sounds and some good tamer fuzz sounds, but I couldn't quite get it to do a totally open or natural sounding fuzz, but thats not really why I picked it up. That was the only thing that kept my wooley mammoth on my board instead of the CAF.
The model H is good for higher gain and a little more cutting OD than the BBBOD gives. The low end loss is tolerable, but there definately is a little trimmed off the bottom. Helps it cut through a little more than the BBBOD if you want to be heard without having to just overpower guitarists with lots of watts. Sounds great with some cleans blended in if you can't give up the lows, and I love it for slaping with or without the blend. Throw in an envelope filter for even more fun.
And, the honey bee does sound nice, especially after fuzz/filter/etc for synth sounds, but I personally wouldn't find it usefull without a clean blend... that's one that I pretty much just use to make my bad guitar playing sound better.
I'd really love to give the mad professor Envelope filter a try. From the clips I think that it'd be the first filter to really give my FX25 some decent competition.
